Jeseník nad Odrou is a municipality in the Nový Jičín district with a rich history dating back to 1383. After the war, it underwent significant changes due to the resettlement of its original inhabitants and the arrival of new residents. The rivers Odra and Luha flow through the municipality, and it received the Village of the Year award in 2013. Unfortunately, it was hit by a devastating flood in 2009. The Blahutovice observation tower is located nearby, and the construction of a nuclear power plant was once considered here, remaining a controversial topic.
