Staré Hradiště, a municipality in the Pardubice district, boasts a rich history dating back to the 12th century, when it belonged to the Opatovice monastery. A significant moment was the transfer of ownership to Diviš Bořek of Miletín, who laid the foundations for the Pardubice estate here. The village experienced wars, including the Thirty Years' War and the passage of Prussian troops in 1866. The village of Brozany, with its ford across the Labe River, and the Fáblovka factory are also points of interest. The municipal coat of arms references the original fortress and ford.
