Liblice Castle, a Baroque gem in the Mělník district, was built at the end of the 17th century by Count Pachta of Rájov. It later underwent modifications in the Rococo and Neo-Renaissance styles. Today, it functions as a hotel and conference center of the Czech Academy of Sciences. In addition to its rich history and magnificent interiors with frescoes and allegorical sculptures, the castle also offers an extensive French park with a pond and protected species of frogs and plants. In 2022, the castle received a gold medal in the European Historic Hotels competition.
