Bývalá vojenská věž byla postavena za účelem "radiotechnického průzkumu" v 70. letech 20. století. Díky své poloze nabízí z výšky 24 metrů poutavý výhled na Slavkovský les, Český les, Šumavu nebo při dobré dohlednosti i vzdálenější Alpy.
Rozhledna prošla rekonstrukcí, zkolaudována v lednu 2014.

Lookout tower deep in the forests of Českého Lesa. You’ll meet people who have really earned their way here on foot (no e-vehicles) and thanks to that, the place is very peaceful. During a day-long hike of about 40km you will only meet a handful of people with backpacks.

Breathtaking view! Be careful of the Lonely Wolf from Prague sunbathing on the platform; when he wanders west again and gets tired of being alone, I would gladly join some trip.
