Hrusice, a picturesque village in Central Bohemia, is best known as the birthplace of painter Josef Lada, whose work and life are closely connected to the village – here you’ll find the Josef Lada Memorial and inspiration from his fairy tales. In addition, Hrusice is home to the Church of St. Wenceslas with a Romanesque portal and the pub U Sejků, famous from Lada’s paintings. The village lies near the D1 highway and offers a peaceful environment with preserved folk architecture, though it has been growing in recent years.
