Okřínek is a small village in the Nymburk district, 6 km northeast of Poděbrady. It has a population of around 200. The first mention of the village dates back to 1790, and in 2007 a civic association was established with the aim of revitalizing it. It is located in the Polabská nížina, towards Jičín.

We visited the village of Okřínek and all its parts in 2023 and until the end of February 2024 it was possible to vote for it in our poll Municipality of the Year 2023. In this poll the citizens of the Czech Republic gave out 0-397 points to the municipalities and according to this vote we award a number of stars to this municipality.
