Śnieżka is the highest peak of the Karkonosze Mountains, the Sudetes, the Czech Republic, the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, and Silesia, with a height of 1603.30 m above sea level. Located on the Polish-Czech border, it towers over the Jelenia Góra Basin and lies within the boundaries of Karpacz and Krkonošský národní park. From the summit, with good visibility, you can see a distance of over 200 km. Śnieżka is part of the Crown of Europe and several other mountain crowns of Poland and the Czech Republic. On the summit there are tourist and religious facilities, including the Chapel of St. Lawrence from 1665. Hiking trails run through Śnieżka, and in the past, the construction of a rack railway was planned. In 2006, a disabled athlete on a wheelchair reached the summit.

Overcrowded, frequent extreme weather changes. I recommend not leaving the cable car station.

The only interesting thing about this hill is the fact that it is the highest mountain in the area. Everything else is bad, from the cable car to the overpriced Poštovna, and the influx of self-proclaimed tourists. The mountain itself doesn’t have much beauty compared to others of similar altitude. Krkonoše has many other places with more beautiful views where it doesn't look like Matějský. Climbing up here is only good so that one can say they've been here. Hiking trail from Pec through Růžohorky, on foot, challenging... Views from Sněžka are great, but otherwise tragic, you won't see me there for another ten years. Finding a trash can is a good fight with a sad result. And no toilet, currently on the cable car, out of order for several days... They just want to fleece tourists here, but otherwise do nothing for them.

Highest point of CZ. At the top, you feel like you are in a pen for livestock. A meadow separated by a high fence is terribly protected. As a reward, you can look from a distance at the highest mountains of Bohemia, Luční and Studniční, where entry is of course prohibited. Never again to the Prague Krkonoš.
